NORRLAND
A nature-inspired lamp idea was transformed into design, visualized using 3D software and prototyped using a lasercutter. The concept was to play with shadows both casted by the lamp on the surface, and within it through the number of “branches” – semitransparent acryllic circular plates with randomized order. The name Norrland comes from a geographic land in northern Sweden which thick forests and swamps became the project’s main inspiration.
