Lighting for wayfinding – Airport terminals
Below poster and video summarise the process of developing a method and a prototype for wayfinding lighting design at the airport terminals, which has been a topic of my master thesis in MSc in Lighting design. Along with my thesis partner, Egle, we investigated current practices in regards to architecture and lighting at the terminals, and the wayfinding strategies with an end goal of developing a method for designing modern and innovative systems. We focused on utilising principles of ambient communication for the peripheral vision and awareness.
