Lighting schemes preference study

Part of my job at the Statens Byggeforskningsinstitut was research on preference of different lighting qualities (CCT, distribution, height etc.) for specific contexts, using calibrated computer generated, photorealistic images. Parth of the research resulted in a publication submission: Identification of Preferred Energy-efficient Lighting Schemes Using Calibrated Photorealistic Visualisation.

My contribution in the research was creating photorealistic CG images and later assisting with testing  and assessment procedures. Lighting scenarios were based on both conceptual space ideas (such as generic Kindergarten), and actual physical spaces such as the existing city courtyard in Ballerup, DK – which first required physically measuring, and later modelling the space in a 3D environment.
